Responsibilities

Leading a team of Technical Marketing Managers responsible for the technical positioning, support, and success of assigned crop protection products; providing coaching, direction and career development to individual contributors
Ensuring clear, consistent communication with stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, Biology, Regulatory Sciences, Digital Services, Formulations, and Operations
Translating portfolio and product attributes into a coordinated, actionable plan
Guiding current and future innovation efforts and ensuring technical positioning is scientifically sound and aligned with business objectives
Serving as a technical resource for new BASF products prior to commercialization
Building and maintaining leadership relationships with distribution partners to steward BASF technology and support sales
Developing annual budgets and resource plans for Tech Service research and demonstration trials to ensure adequate product testing before launch
Supporting product claims and complaint resolution processes
Ensuring communication occurs between Tech Marketing Managers and field Tech Service reps so that we 'are one face to the field'

Qualification

Required

Hold a M.S. or Ph.D. in a technical related field relevant to crop production
Have 13+ years of experience in agribusiness or a related field (e.g., farming, retailing, agricultural R&D)
Demonstrate experience in managing long-term projects (~3 years)
Have proven ability to influence and work across multiple levels, both internally and externally
Are able to travel up to 25% of the time

Preferred

Have prior technical role with sales and/or marketing experience
