Responsibilities

Contribute to a research project in close collaboration with faculty supervisors, PhD students and undergraduates on additive manufacturing of high temperature structural alloys
Innovate new areas of inquiry and advance materials testing, modeling and/or characterization techniques and data analysis
Present research findings in meetings and publish in scientific journals; maintain detailed records and datasets

Required

PhD in Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Selected candidate must have Ph.D. conferred upon hire
Knowledge and experience with mechanical testing, mechanics/ICME modeling, and microstructural characterization (SEM, EBSD, TEM, etc.)
Experience in preparing, writing, editing and revising research articles
This position is subject to federal ITAR/EAR regulations
