Responsibilities

Develop and manage a robust business development pipeline for new and innovative Engineering Services customers, focusing on staffing expertise across space industries including commercial and governmental operations. Includes support at industry trade shows, conferences and other key industry events used by the spaceflight industry
Lead the entire capture process for government and commercial opportunities, driving opportunities from identification to contract award
Structure, negotiate, and execute service contracts, including terms, pricing, and performance metrics
Coordinate seamlessly with Space Ocean's technical, finance, and legal teams to craft winning proposals and manage contract performance

Required

10+ years of progressive experience in selling Engineering Services specifically within the aerospace, defense, or space sector
Proven track record of personally bringing in deals with US Government agencies (e.g., NASA, DoD), major aerospace companies, and/or boutique space entities
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain security clearance
Strong grasp of the full proposal lifecycle (RFI/RFP analysis, color teams, submission) and contract management

Preferred

Existing relationships within key decision makers within the space, aerospace and government contracting offices or the broader commercial space ecosystem
Familiarity with contract management software and ERP applications, preferably Monday.com
