Responsibilities
Information Management: Review information received from clients. Identify missing information or discrepancies in client files and communicate with clients and team members to resolve them
Tax Data Entry: Precisely enter financial data from source documents (W-2s, 1099s, etc.) into UltraTax software with a high degree of accuracy
Data Verification: Conduct thorough reviews of entered data to ensure completeness and correctness before passing files to senior preparers
Reporting & Summaries: Assist in the preparation of internal reports and summaries required for final tax filings
Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of security and discretion regarding sensitive financial and personal client information
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
A basic understanding of 1040 individual tax returns and standard IRS forms is required
Previous experience with UltraTax is a must
Extreme attention to detail and a commitment to 'right-first-time' data entry
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively under strict IRS deadlines
A friendly disposition and the ability to maintain a positive attitude in a high-pressure environment
Ability to be proactive and work independently while following established firm workflows
