Regional Director, Practice Operations

The Regional Director, Practice Operations oversees practice operations across the western and southern Chicagoland markets, partnering with physicians and clinic managers to drive operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities
Work in close partnership with physicians, clinic managers, and care teams to achieve high-performing operations across primary care practices operating in both fee-for-service and value-based care models
Provide hands-on operational leadership for a regional group of clinics throughout the western and southern Chicagoland areas
Coach, develop, and support Clinic Managers to ensure reliable execution of front-office, back-office, and clinical workflows
Implement and maintain operational standards that promote access, efficiency, quality outcomes, and an exceptional patient experience
Lead the implementation of operational initiatives and continuous improvement efforts, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and timelines
Guide change management activities as new tools, workflows, and processes are rolled out across practices
Monitor and evaluate clinic-level performance metrics, sharing KPIs with physicians and staff to drive data-informed improvement
Partner with physician leaders to close performance gaps and support practice growth and development initiatives
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and industry best practices across all locations
Serve as a key connection point between regional practices and centralized leadership, proactively escalating risks, challenges, and improvement opportunities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
5–10 years of experience in healthcare operations, provider group management, or multi-site healthcare administration
Direct experience collaborating with physicians and clinical teams in ambulatory or outpatient settings
Proven ability to lead and execute operational initiatives across multiple sites
Strong project management and execution capabilities
Knowledge of both fee-for-service and value-based care operating models
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead change
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to transform operational and performance data into clear, actionable insights
High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated leadership presence, adaptability, and sound decision-making in fast-paced environments
Preferred
Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Management, Nursing, or a related discipline preferred
