Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California focused on advancing sustainable air mobility through all-electric aircraft. The Mechanical Engineer Intern will assist the High Voltage Battery Pack Mechanical Design team with mechanical design, analysis, and testing of battery packs for the Midnight aircraft.

Responsibilities

Take on a single project that requires analysis, design, and build to meet requirements

Work with senior engineers to complete root cause and design improvement tasks on existing battery packs

Use hands-on skills to aid with testing and test-fixture modifications

Required

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent major (Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, etc.)

Must have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate coursework (rising Junior or Senior)

Demonstrated hands-on experience through previous internships, academic projects, or personal hobbies (robotics, maker projects, automotive work, etc.)

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Can-do attitude, ready to learn and hit the ground running
