Responsibilities
Technically review engineering products (i.e. drawings, eIRs, DFS, DLAR, DIM, etc.) that will be issued to the waterfront and/or government
Rapidly troubleshoot waterfront issues and help drive resolutions to completion
Maintain knowledge of governing requirements to ensure deliverables stay in compliance
Mentor and train less experienced teammates
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience
Master's Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience
Ph.D. and 4 years of experience
Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
Preferred
Previous experience / knowledge with IC circuits onboard aircraft carriers is preferred
Experience / knowledge of the following systems is a plus: CANES (Consolidated Afloat Network Enterprise System)
Experience / knowledge of the following systems is a plus: MCSS (Machinery Control System Suite)
Experience / knowledge of the following systems is a plus: IVCN (Integrated Voice Communication Network)
