As a Logistics Intern, you will support the Power Only Trailer Team by gaining hands-on experience in operational and analytical aspects of equipment management, working on projects that optimize trailer usage and enhance logistics efficiency.

Responsibilities

Perform functions of assigned area

Provide analytical support to assigned project team(s) or department(s)

Conduct research related to transportation industry as well as assigned project team or department

Routinely meet with assigned mentors and/or leaders and provide summary of key take-aways

Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives

Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze trailer utilization data to verify equipment return status, identify idle time, and uncover trends that impact cost and efficiency

Process Improvement: Assist in developing and refining systems and workflows that improve trailer management, reduce downtime, and enhance accountability

Operational Support: Collaborate with team members to source and provide the most efficient trailer solutions for power-only loads, ensuring timely and cost-effective operations

Carrier Compliance: Support efforts to monitor and hold carriers accountable for trailer misuse, helping maintain operational integrity and cost control

Research & Innovation: Conduct research on industry best practices and emerging technologies to recommend improvements in trailer management and logistics processes

Leadership Interaction: Routinely meet with mentors and leaders to share insights, present findings, and contribute ideas that drive continuous improvement
