They are seeking an Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Analyst to conduct open-source research and analysis to assess investor prospects and associated risks, supporting advanced technology initiatives for DARPA's Commercial Strategy team.

Responsibilities

Conduct open-source research and analysis to assess investor prospects, managers, advisors, and affiliates supporting advanced technology initiatives

Focus on identifying financial, reputational, and national security risks, including potential adversarial activity, to protect portfolio integrity and program security

Apply a blend of financial expertise and OSINT tradecraft to support rigorous due diligence and risk monitoring

Collect and evaluate open-source data to assess investor suitability, and perform continuous vetting of associated parties and monitoring for red flags

Develop and refine OSINT methodologies specific to financial, reputational, and national security risk assessment

Prepare risk assessment reports and briefings, highlighting key findings and recommendations

Analyze venture, private, and growth equity transactions, as well as private credit transactions

Analyze investors in various public and private transactions

Analyze the interplay between investors, board members, board observers, and the various contractual rights held by those parties in the context of financing transactions

Required

Active TS/SCI clearance

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, International Relations, or a related field

4-8 years of experience performing formal OSINT analysis with a focus on financial analysis, due diligence, risk management, and national security intelligence

Strong expertise conducting analysis via OSINT web-based tools including but not limited to: OSINT Combine, Craft, Spiderfoot, and Blueprint

Knowledge of financial markets, private transactions, regulatory frameworks, and national security threat assessments

Ability to work onsite full-time in Arlington, VA
