Responsibilities
Design, implement, and troubleshoot high-voltage pulsed systems (up to 5kV) for diagnostic timing and triggering applications
Develop and validate timing synchronization systems with sub-nanosecond precision across complex experimental setups
Collaborate with scientists and engineers to integrate pulsed systems into larger diagnostic platforms
Support hands-on testing, field deployment, and system maintenance, including troubleshooting and upgrades
Document system designs, test procedures, and operational practices for pulsed power systems
Qualification
Required
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field
5+ years of hands on experience with an ability to work autonomously
Strong understanding of pulsed electronics, time-domain systems, or RF systems with time-domain applications
Hands-on experience with high-voltage test equipment, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and fast diagnostics
Ability to transition from design through field testing, troubleshooting, and system maintenance
Motivated and adaptable, capable of pivoting between multiple technical domains
Preferred
Background in national labs, accelerator systems, military/aerospace timing or triggering systems
Familiarity with diagnostic timing in beamlines, fusion experiments, or medical x-ray systems
Experience in both low-power RF systems and high-voltage pulsed applications
