Tectonic Engineering Consultants is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to support solar, battery storage, and grid modernization projects. The role involves collaborating with engineers, designers, and clients to ensure high-quality deliverables, including detailed electrical design and coordination with various teams.

Responsibilities

Performing detailed electrical design, including one-line diagrams, grounding, lighting, and equipment layouts
Conducting power system studies (load flow, short circuit, relay coordination, voltage drop) using ETAP or EasyPower
Preparing equipment specifications, material requisitions, and reviewing vendor drawings
Coordinating design efforts with civil, structural, and mechanical teams to ensure constructability and code compliance
Supporting field teams by reviewing site layouts, performing site visits, and providing technical guidance
Participating in 3D model reviews with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
Maintaining accurate project documentation, schedules, and design records

Required

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering; EIT and/or PE License preferred
Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in electrical design and coordination, preferably within the power, manufacturing, or renewable energy space
Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and IEC standards
Proficiency with AutoCAD (2020 or newer), Revit, and electrical analysis tools (ETAP/EasyPower)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Requires a valid, clean driver's license, as travel to job sites may be required
