Pangaea Data is a company focused on utilizing AI to enhance healthcare by identifying untreated and under-treated patients. They are seeking a Test/QA Engineer to perform software testing, develop test plans, and ensure quality assurance practices are adhered to in their AI platform development.

Responsibilities

Performing best practices and software testing standards, defect management & reporting, testing concepts and test management tools

Setting up new and robust pipelines (e.g. CI/CD) and processes when necessary

Performing all aspects of testing including writing test planning documentation, executing testing tasks, analyzing test results and documenting defects

Tracking issues, managing priorities of them, and fixing them collaboratively with relevant stakeholders

Developing test plans and test strategies, and experience designing based on high-level requirements or use cases

Strong understanding of quality practices and ability to apply proven QA techniques including requirement traceability, boundary value analysis and application stability/usability

Influencing constructively and positively to the team on the best practices of development and quality assurance

Required

A strong intuition for what makes products a joy to use

Empathy for how different users will need different things out of a product at different stages, and how to effectively serve these different needs in one product

Strong communication and mediation skills

Strong people skills and the ability to engage all levels of the organization (especially the front line)

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with different expertise

Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English

A strong software engineering background with testing and quality assurance expertise to understand how the user facing product will tie into backend and architectural decisions

With university qualification (Bachelors, Masters, Doctorate) who have completed at least two years of university study in Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering or related

Work experience in testing and quality assurance and relevant tools like Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions

Work experience in CI/CD and the setup of relevant pipeline and processes

Work experience on general programming languages: Python, Shell, C++, Java, etc

Work experience with working in Linux and Microsoft Azure
