Responsibilities

Support the District Forester in the effective administration, management, planning, and safeguarding of the natural resources within the Elk State Forest District #13

Provide leadership, oversee personnel, and coordinate various programs, responsibilities, and equipment necessary to achieve the objectives, goals, and missions set forth by the district, the Bureau of Forestry, and the Department

Undertake other assigned tasks that contribute to the overall success of the district's initiatives and resource management efforts

Qualification

Forestry managementExperience in forestryResource managementLeadership

Required

Two years of experience as a Forester (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or

Two years of experience as a Forest Nursery Assistant Manager (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training which affords the applicant the required knowledges, skills, and abilities

You must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license, of the proper class for the vehicles operated, as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

You must be able to perform essential job functions
