Applications Developer 1
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an engaged and highly motivated Applications Developer 1. In this role, you will provide application support services for the Bureau of Disability Determination, focusing on complex data processing applications and assisting with system and program coding, testing, and documentation.

Responsibilities
Provide application support services for the Bureau of Disability Determination (BDD)
Participate in the development of objectives for the proposed system
Monitor daily processing activities to identify and report processing anomalies in a timely manner
Assist with system and program coding, testing and documentation
Participate in the gathering of user information pertinent to the analysis, development, and design of complex electronic data processing applications associated with BDD’s core business functions
Provide training to appropriate personnel on the developed systems
Qualification
Required
One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Computer Programmer 2; or
Three years of information technology experience that includes one year of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or
One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports
