Responsibilities

Warmly greet guests upon arrival at the cocktail lounge, providing a personalized and hospitable welcome
Assist guests with seating arrangements, considering their preferences and group size, to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience
Manage the waitlist during peak hours, providing accurate wait time estimates and keeping guests informed of their status
Maintain a tidy and organized hostess station, including menus, reservation books, and seating charts, to facilitate smooth operations
Communicate effectively with servers and bartenders to coordinate seating assignments and ensure timely service for guests
Monitor the flow of guests in the lounge, anticipating and addressing any potential service issues or guest concerns
Assist with answering phone calls, taking reservations, and providing information about the cocktail lounge and resort amenities
Uphold the resort's standards of professionalism, courtesy, and hospitality at all times while interacting with guests and colleagues
Collaborate with other departments, such as food and beverage and guest services, to enhance the overall guest experience
Oversee guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and efficiency
Adhere to departmental policies and procedures
Effectively communicate with peers, management, line, and front-of-the-house employees
Practice effective listening: (seek to understand)
Perform related duties as required
Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property
Adhere to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by Resort policy
Be courteous to all guests and coworkers
Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Employee Handbook
Maintain complete knowledge of all outlet offerings

Required

Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated individual
Must be able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English
Must have effective communication skills
Ability to implement and uphold service standards
Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort
Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
Minimum of one year Host or related experience required

Preferred

High School Diploma or GED recommended
Some College experience or Degree recommended
