ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide standard and advanced administrative duties for an executive of the hospital. The role involves supervising clerical personnel, coordinating activities, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and quality assurance programs
Type correspondence, reports, memoranda, special projects, technical papers and related material for department staff as required
Compose letters and memoranda from dictation, verbal direction, or from knowledge of Hospitals policies and procedures
Schedule and coordinate meetings and facilities; may include making travel and lodging arrangements
Receive, handle, and transfer phone calls and messages within the department promptly and courteously
Prepare and submit time for payroll biweekly
Prepare memoranda and other materials for staff and for business meetings
Collect information needed by supervisor for conferences and reports
Open, sort, review and distribute mail and prepare responses to routine inquiries
Order office supplies and place items in proper storage areas
Operate and maintain a variety of office equipment; obtain and maintain office equipment supplies
Supervise, plan, coordinate, and direct the activities of secretarial and clerical personnel as assigned
Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops
Enter data into computer and work with various software programs to include but not limited to MS Office Suite
Process, manage and maintain a variety of confidential files and information
Qualification
Required
High School or GED Equivalent
4 years directly related experience
