Responsibilities
Lead product assortment and design strategy, ensuring delivery of a compelling assortment that meets or exceeds financial goals
Oversee all aspects of seasonal assortment planning from initial selection through post-seasonal analysis
Develop short- and long-term strategies to grow the current business
Identify, develop, and implement new business strategies, initiatives, and product lines
Collaborate with Inventory Planning to develop plans that leverage current inventory and support strategic growth and innovation
Investigate and respond to catalog and web issues
Partner with planners to manage all markdowns, promotions, cost changes, and retail adjustments
Analyze the domestic market and provide insights to the Buyer for market analyses
Review and approve catalog proofs for pricing, naming, and copy
Maintain a strong understanding of the brand’s customer and aesthetic
Demonstrate technical expertise, business acumen, and financial savvy
Deliver results by influencing internal and external partners
Negotiate effectively with market vendors
Engage in product development, collaborating closely with design teams
Strategically manage web promotions and offers while providing creative direction that aligns with the brand aesthetic
Qualification
Required
BA/BS in related field and/or equivalent work experience
5 years' experience in women's apparel
5 years' experience managing a high performing environment
Proven track record of driving profitable business expansion
Thorough knowledge and experience in product development, global sourcing
Ability to develop train, and lead
Expertise in product development, trend and branding
Strong analytical skills required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PLM, Adobe)
