Senior Mechanical Engineer
Parametric is building robots to reliably automate physical labor in the real world, and they are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own their hardware platform from concept to production. The role involves designing, prototyping, and iterating on mechanical systems for robots, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.

Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, and components for our robotic platform
Own the full lifecycle of hardware development from CAD design and prototyping to testing and production
Select materials, fasteners, and manufacturing processes that balance performance, cost, and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and software components
Build and test prototypes quickly, iterating based on real-world feedback
Work with vendors and manufacturers to bring designs to production
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in the lab and in the field
Qualification
Required
Three or more years of experience in mechanical engineering, ideally in robotics, consumer electronics, or hardware startups
Strong proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)
Hands-on experience with prototyping, machining, and fabrication techniques
Understanding of materials, mechanisms, and manufacturing processes (sheet metal, CNC, injection molding, 3D printing)
Comfortable working in ambiguity and moving fast in a startup environment
Strong problem-solving skills and a bias toward action
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
