Engineering Technician
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Engineering Technician for the Department of Environmental Protection. In this role, you will assist in surveying mining projects, operate survey instruments, manage geospatial equipment, and gather vital project information.

Responsibilities
Assist an instrument man or rodman within a survey team focused on mining projects
Operating various survey instruments such as total stations, EDMs, theodolites, transits, and levels to gather essential survey data
Help manage high-accuracy geospatial equipment, including radios, receivers, controllers, and base stations
Utilizing survey software, generate control reports and calculate coordinates, elevations, angles, and distances
Record, verify, and analyze field notes
Conduct field visits to county courthouses to gather vital project information, including surface and mineral ownership and deed descriptions
Qualification
Required
An associate degree in surveying, drafting, designing, civil, or any other appropriate field of engineering technology
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree
Possession of a valid PA Class C driver's license
Must meet the PA residency requirement
Must be able to perform essential job functions
