Application/Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities
Analyze interactions between components, subsystems, and larger systems
Ensure compatibility and seamless communication between integrated components
Verify that integrated systems meet performance, reliability, and specification standards
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve integration-related issues
Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary engineers, developers, and stakeholders
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, specifications, and test procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or chemical engineering required
Minimum 5 years of experience with battery systems, including Lead and Lithium Ion technologies
Strong knowledge of Battery Management System (BMS) protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP and CAN bus
Experience with fault tree analysis and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
Familiarity with safety standards for Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS): UL 1973, UL 9540, UL 1741
Understanding of fire protection standards for Lithium Ion batteries
Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical documents, legal regulations, and professional publications
Skilled in writing clear reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals
Capable of presenting information and responding effectively to inquiries from management, clients, and customers
Ability to perform basic and complex calculations including ratios, percentages, and graph interpretations
Proficient in applying mathematical concepts to engineering and business contexts
Demonstrated problem-solving skills in non-standardized situations
Ability to interpret and apply instructions delivered via various formats, including diagrams and written schedules
Effective time management with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
Capacity to work independently and collaboratively
Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as needed
Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
Japanese language proficiency is a plus
Working knowledge of engineering software tools is advantageous
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
