Responsibilities

Working with global suppliers to understand assembly and finished good manufacturing processes, serve as the technical expert to ensure reliability during the life of the product
Partnering with cross functional teams to execute material controls deliverables according to program needs such as purchased material qualification, supplier-driven change assessments, supplier capacity or capability improvement projects, or regulated materials compliance assessments
Partnering with Global Sourcing category teams to provide technical expertise in establishing and executing category objectives
Investigating and evaluating new and existing technologies for use in future products or to improve quality/reliability of current products
Conducting risk assessments on sourced materials; plan and execute risk mitigation measures to ensure continuity of supplied components
Coordinating all phases of supplier engineering work content for projects; communicate emerging issues and recovery plans with site leadership and stakeholders to gain resources and support
Identifying and executing material cost reduction projects to meet plant, division, and category goals; influence cross-functional teams to support and drive value improvement projects
Demonstrating a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline
Minimum 3 years of technical experience supporting complex electro-mechanical systems
Experience working with suppliers and managing supplier relationships
Ability to travel up to 25% globally

Preferred

5 years of technical experience supporting complex electro-mechanical systems
Working knowledge of capital equipment, performance characteristics, and reliability factors
Working knowledge of statistical methods, six sigma, and problem-solving methodologies
Experience managing projects and working with cross-functional teams to drive deliverables
Experience working in medical device or similar GMP environment
Self-driven and results oriented with strong data analytics and critical thinking skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop internal and external relationships
Organized and detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects

Compensation may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
