Customer Service Representative

Meritum Energy is a leading provider of propane, natural gas, diesel, and other mobile energy solutions throughout various states. They are seeking a pro-active and driven Customer Service Representative who will interact with customers by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns, ensuring service excellence and safety.

Responsibilities

Interacts with customers via telephone, email, or in person to provide support and information on products or services and serves as a liaison between customers and the company
Collects and enters orders for new or additional products or services
Forwards customer questions and complaints to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff
Field customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative’s knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff
Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers problems and concerns
Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments
Assist customers with filling propane cylinders at the bottle dock station
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 3 years of customer service experience
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Service-oriented and the ability to resolve customer grievances
Proficient with computer skills and the ability to learn and use current and new software
Must be proficient with the current Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and utilize different software
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, using a phone, and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed in order to safely assist with duties around the plant
Must pass pre-employment screening and background check

Preferred

Experience in high-volume phone call settings highly preferred
Experience in the oil and propane industry preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
