Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain innovative products for our on-prem as well as SaaS offerings, including distributed file systems, archival products, and cloud services
Efficiently collaborating with product management, other cross-functional leads, and teams on both technical and business strategies to improve and build the future product roadmap for Cohesity’s infinitely scalable platform
Implement product features for on-prem and cloud platforms
Drive accountability for test-driven development, delivery of high-quality features and resilient enterprise-class solutions
Lead a culture of team ownership and direct individual and team accountability to improve how they work and achieve results continuously
Participating in Agile development processes
Qualification
Required
Min 8+ years of back-end software development experience
BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
Understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and parallel processing
Expert-level programming and debugging skills in C++
Strong knowledge of system performance and scaling
Previous experience in distributed file systems
Proven skills to solve complex problems
Experience with debugging and diagnosing production software
Ability to drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects
Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment
Possess excellent communication and sharp analytical abilities
Preferred
Development experience with large-scale, highly available distributed systems is a plus
