Responsibilities

Leads collection and analysis of quality information from multiple sources to develop quality strategy and programs
Drives quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes
Provides expertise in production process analysis, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for key quality improvements
Participate in Continuous Improvement and activities
Develops and implements Quality Assurance plans, guidelines, policies, and processes to ensure the achievement of Quality targets
Develops organization projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving and directs implementation
Train site personnel in quality concepts, changes in process, improvement projects, and other related topics
Assist in the development of Quality procedures and processes to improve product quality, increase departmental efficiency, reduce/eliminate inefficient processes
Ability to measure, analyze and assess complex processes
Complete other duties as assigned

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Experience with Root Cause and Correction Action Management
Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)

Preferred

Experience in manufacturing in aerospace, aviation, or automotive industry
Experience with Lean management tools
Auditing experience with AS9100
Experience in measuring and reporting key quality characteristics and objectives including PPM, COPQ, product testing, etc
Experience documenting with MES/SAP or similar tool as well as experience creating Corrective Action Reports
CMM experience
