Master Trainer – FCD-W, Software Applications & Watchtower
Sherpa 6, Inc. is seeking Master Trainers to support USSOCOM Program Executive Office Tactical Information Systems. The Master Trainer will be responsible for training personnel on SOF Tactical Communications platforms and developing comprehensive training programs to ensure user competencies align with program objectives.

Responsibilities
Train Sherpa 6 Integrator personnel on required STC platforms
Develop and implement comprehensive training programs
Create essential materials such as manuals, presentations, and Plans of Instruction (POIs)
Ensures that these individuals acquire the necessary skills to effectively train end users on both SOF, and Joint Staff Programs of record, as well as unit-sponsored commercial technologies upon request
Stays up to date on current and emerging technologies by actively scheduling and attending vendor-sponsored training events or studying vendor documentation to attain a trainer-level proficiency
Collaborate closely with regional site leads and on-site Sherpa Integrators, the Master Trainer identifies unit-specific training needs and tailors’ solutions accordingly
Evaluate training program effectiveness and make recommendations for continuous improvements
Record training activities to track Integrator competencies at an individual level. Master trainer must maintain and ensure training is up to date
Qualification
Required
5+ years of SOCOM experience
Military Instructor Training Course or similar Instructor Qualification or demonstrated instructor experience
Proficiency in Linux, Windows, Android & iOS operating systems
Ability to deploy, manage and maintain Hypervisors to include Virtual Box and Hyper-V
Server management proficiency to include building, maintaining and training on OpenVPN Server, Email servers, Active Directory, Open LDAP servers
Certificate Authorities experience to include Trust chain, CA management, Intermediate CA's, Client CA's, Server CA's
Demonstrated expertise in configuration, support, and troubleshooting expertise in computer, server, and network environments
Proficiency in current Microsoft desktop and Azure server operating systems
Exceptional problem-solving skills for resolving issues with complex systems
Familiarity with TAK and Mission Command Systems
Knowledge of network encryption methods, both hardware and virtual
Familiarity with mobile device management tools and policy management
Proficiency in MS Office Tools
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor training
Must be a US citizen
Must pass a background check and drug screening
Active DoD Secret security clearance
Preferred
Bachelor's degree with experience and/or 10-15 years of Special Operations experience
Experience in Linux administration, PKI, Docker, and networking protocols
Familiarity with Android/iOS systems and wireless transport technologies
Expertise in Network Operations Convergence technical design, methodologies, project, and process
Cloud infrastructure and architecture knowledge
Understanding of firewalls, ports, and protocols
Experience in deploying and troubleshooting containerized services
Ability to review logs and analyze data
Familiarity with VPNs, DNS, and scripting (Linux OS)
Understanding of Active Directory, x509 public key PKI, client and server certificates, and certificate authorities
