Seneca Resources is a staffing and consulting firm seeking a Junior IT Specialist to support mission-critical Information Technology systems. This role involves installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise IT systems in both stand-alone and client-server environments.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, service, repair, and maintain IT systems in stand-alone and client-server environments
Support Microsoft server platforms, Defense Message Systems (DMS), and other authorized IT systems
Integrate multiple Information Systems (IS) within networked environments
Evaluate, troubleshoot, and resolve customer IT and system issues
Perform hardware upgrades and repairs to maintain mission capability
Install and configure wireless hubs, routers, switches, and transmission media
Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software
Ensure proper installation and configuration of workstation hardware and software
Install, optimize, and troubleshoot Local Area Networks (LAN) and Base Area Networks (BAN)
Support network services, storage networking devices, and enterprise servers

Required

Minimum 2 years of experience in IT systems installation, administration, or support
Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including: Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Network Address Translation (NAT)
Experience supporting wired and wireless network infrastructure
Ability to troubleshoot complex system and network issues in a mission-critical environment
IAT Level II Certification, including one or more of the following: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
Microsoft MS-900 Certification (or equivalent)
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
