Responsibilities
Use modeling and drafting software to create and modify electrical and electronics schematics for turnkey power generation solutions
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to develop accurate and complete schematics
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Perform quality checks on completed schematics to ensure accuracy
Maintain organized and accurate records of schematics and related documentation
Continuously improve skills and knowledge related to drafting and modeling software
Participate in design reviews and provide technical support
Assist the engineering team with lab equipment drawings and installation/testing
Collaborate with engineers to develop accurate technical specifications and RFQ’s
Qualification
Required
High school diploma, skilled labor certificate, or equivalent
5+ years of experience in drafting, preferably with electrical or electronics schematics
10+ years of industry-related experience or an associate degree in a technical field
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and other Autodesk software packages
Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and standards
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A willingness to learn and adapt to changing technologies and industry practices
Valid driver's license
Preferred
Experience with electrical design software such as ETAP or SKM
Experience with the installation, operation, or troubleshooting of industrial automation equipment
Experience with electronics test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, etc
Experience with Digital Multifunction Protection Relays
Experience with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories' electronics
Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) and/or other relevant codes and standards
Knowledge of medium and high voltage systems a plus
Experience in the electrical and electronics industry
