Training Manager

Responsibilities

Oversee implementation of training deliverables, provide feedback and guidance to ensure work plans are consistent with overall program goals and objectives; provide technical assistance and support as needed, collaborate with subject-matter expert team in the development and implementation of the training modules, as well as policies, objectives, and strategies related to the Training Academy
Develop and deliver training modules that support capacity-building activities of the Training Academy
Liaison with community-based partners, training partners, and collaborators such as Federal Training Centers, other training professionals, URM serving-organizations
Provide guidance and support for a pool of subject matter experts who work with the Training Academy
Review, analyze and provide feedback to trainers and subcontractors on their progress reports; consolidate and summarize progress reports
Hold recurring calls with Training Academy partners
Manage Training Academy technical assistance and training plan, including asynchronous webinar and technical assistance series
Facilitate and participate in planning groups, convenings, webinars, meetings and conferences on behalf of THE Collaborative
Assist senior management team in short-term and long-range training planning and objective setting for training portfolio
Participate as a member of the project management team, participate in vision, planning and monitoring activities for portfolio
Review subject-matter subcontractor scopes of work for annual contracts and purchase orders
Participate in monthly monitoring calls as needed
Participate in the development of progress reporting for THE Collaborative
Participate in the refinement of Training Academy implementation strategy
Collaborate with program team to implement the social media strategy of the Training Academy
Provide assistance to THE Collaborative Evaluation Manager and Deputy Director in the implementation of an evaluation plan and needs assessment
Provide assistance re: needs assessment data reconciliation for program planning
Participate in the analysis of training data in collaboration with the project management team to refine training goals and initiatives

Required

Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing training programs
Associate's degree in a related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Skill in using business software systems to complete work assignments, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Slack, and Outlook
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to think creatively and independently on concepts requiring advanced analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups to achieve results
Intermediate-to-advanced training skills, with a focus on the health and wellbeing of populations most impacted by systemic racism
Ability to work effectively with internal and external peers, managers, and community stakeholders
Intermediate-to-advanced proficiency with distance-based convening platforms, including webinar technologies, Zoom, and other virtual communication tools
Ongoing/continuing education in a related field

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in a related field
Advanced degree in a related area (e.g., MPH, MPA, MHA) or equivalent advanced training/experience
Knowledge of the impact of chronic diseases such as HIV, diabetes, hypertension, and other chronic conditions
Knowledge of the statewide training landscape, including FQHCs and FQHC Training Centers
Experience working in multidisciplinary programs and/or community health care settings
Experience designing and implementing statewide training programs and/or chronic care training programs
