The Manager QA Supplier Admin 2 role involves overseeing supplier quality processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and improving supplier performance.

Responsibilities
Manage all support processes required for the ongoing functionality of Department 005 Supplier Quality
Includes, but is not limited to: Database administration; IT-related support; data collection, analysis, metrics, and reporting; Supplier audit scheduling; budget management; SIQ management; Qlnfo Record processing; Supplier Scorecards; and facility-related support
Plans, organizes, directs and reports on all supplier quality-related activities such as raw materials, packaging materials, good manufacturing practices (GMP) service providers, as well as contract manufacturers, and/or contract manufacturing and laboratories to assure fulfillment of contract/purchase order requirements
Translates engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements
Assures that customer quality-imposed technical requirements are adhered to by supplier and that a quality system is maintained
Conducts programs designed to improve supplier performance, productivity, and process validation
Prepares, maintains and reviews procurement quality assurance procedures to assure compliance with customer and/or government requirements
Reviews and analyzes corrective action reports and purchase orders in an effort to reduce and eliminate defects
Monitors quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities, and maintains feedback loops
May administer a certified supplier program or related programs in receiving inspection
May also audit third party manufacturers, due diligence and vendor selection process
May perform deviation investigations into quality issues
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate, Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate, Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience, Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience, High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience, High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
Preferred
Experience managing/supervising Quality-related processes
Working knowledge of Quality Management and Material Management SAP transactions
Intermediate-to-advanced experience in data analysis using MS-Excel
Experience in supporting/performing internal and external audits of suppliers providing material to Newport News Shipbuilding
Working knowledge of Supply Chain Procurement, including Part Number and Purchase Order requirements and the Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) provided by suppliers
