Responsibilities
HDPE Fabrication – Improve processes related to machining, drilling, bending, joining of HDPE Lumber
Develop new fabrication technologies that enable the next generation of products for the company
Identify, explore, and develop new manufacturing methods in support of market and product development activities. Processes will include a diverse array of technologies, including welding, cutting, finishing, and automated assembly
Use CAD (AutoCAD/Inventor), tooling, and fixtures to demonstrate the new technology
Build prototypes of all new designs, and test these for efficacy
Effectively lead projects, ensuring the right technical resources are utilized and projects are completed in an agreed upon timeframe
Provide training on equipment/processes as needed to technicians and manufacturing personnel
Provide engineering support to production team for existing processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or engineering
Minimum 5 years of industry experience with designing processes and building equipment
Minimum 2 years of experience with machining, fastening, bending HDPE Material
Demonstrate ability to creatively design equipment, fixtures, and manufacturing processes
Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD/Inventor
Excellent analytical skills — proficient at turning data into information and knowledge
Effective communication, both verbally and in writing, to affect decision making and keep the organization informed
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work at all levels of the organization and influence strategy and decisions
Establish clear priorities and enthusiasm about delivering accurate and timely results
Must possess a 'Get it done' attitude
Able to work autonomously once given a task and be self-directed
Committed to making positive changes but remaining flexible and able to adapt to company growth and evolving responsibilities
