Administrative Assistant- Lead
Education Service Center, Region 2 is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for various educator preparation and staffing initiatives. The role involves responding to inquiries, directing visitors, and maintaining information and files to ensure efficient office operations.

Responsibilities
Participates in required program meetings/trainings/events to meet program goals
Compiles and maintains information, electronic data, and physical files; order supplies; maintains inventory; generates service contracts and invoices for services; and assists with reports as needed
Assists with preparation of workshop or other event materials for staff
Performs other duties as assigned
Performs routine clerical functions as they contribute to the total operation of the office
Identifies and responds to problems effectively
Completes assignments on time and accurately
Able to work with limited supervision
Uses all office equipment and software necessary to perform functions of job
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others
Ability to maintain working budgets, generate service contracts, requisitions for purchase orders, invoices, supply orders, etc., for assigned programs using online systems
Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff
Greet visitors (e.g. public, students, vendors, etc.) respond to their inquiries and/or direct them to appropriate personnel in accordance with ESC 2 policies and procedures regarding building security
Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes
Respond to emergency calls and notify appropriate parties to address immediate safety and/or security issues
Receive deliveries and disseminate materials and information to the appropriate parties
Follow ESC 2 safety protocols and emergency procedures
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Previous clerical experience required
Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
Self-motivated and task-oriented
Desires challenges and new learning experiences
Possess decision-making skills
Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Able to meet deadlines
Ability to effectively use written and oral language
Proficiency in the use of pertinent computer programs and other standard office equipment
Able to work with limited supervision
