Bookkeeper/Office Manager

Manning Caliendo & Thomson is an established law firm in Freehold, New Jersey seeking an experienced Bookkeeper & Office Manager to join their team. This role includes overseeing the firm’s financial operations and day-to-day office management while working closely with the partners and staff.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping
Management and reconciliation of attorney trust (IOLTA) accounts
Accounts payable and receivable
Payroll coordination
Monthly bank and trust reconciliations
Coordination with the firm’s outside accountant
Oversee daily office operations
Manage vendors (IT, phone systems, copiers, office supplies)
Coordinate staff schedules, PTO tracking, and on-boarding paperwork
Maintain administrative workflows and internal procedures
Serve as a point of contact for operational issues

Qualification

Bookkeeping experienceIOLTA accounting experienceQuickBooks proficiencyOffice management experienceDiscretionOrganizational skillsAttention to detail

Required

3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Office management or administrative oversight experience
Proficiency with QuickBooks
Strong organizational skills, discretion, and attention to detail

Preferred

Law firm and trust/IOLTA accounting experience strongly preferred
