Green Mountain Power is seeking an energetic, innovative Power Production Apprentice this summer. This apprentice position offers mechanical engineering students or technically oriented individuals the chance to gain practical experience in the electric utility industry, focusing on power production systems and working as part of a team across various business units.

Responsibilities

Apply technical knowledge gained from mechanical engineering coursework or technical background to learn the fundamentals of GMP's power production systems

Quickly learn the innovative tools and software used by GMP for its power generation efforts

Understand GMP's design standards and equipment specifications

Work extensively with other mechanical engineering and field personnel to efficiently perform the tasks

Qualification

Required

Valid driver's license

18+ years of age

Ability to climb to heights of 130' (and successful completion of evacuation procedure)
