Waco Tribune-Herald is assisting Texas Woman's University in the search for a Vice President for University Advancement & Alumni Engagement. The role involves leading a strategic advancement program, managing development and alumni relations, and enhancing philanthropic support for the university.

Responsibilities

Lead a dynamic and strategic advancement program
Manage the entire range of development, alumni relations, and the foundation
Increase contributed unrestricted annual operating revenue, endowment, scholarship funds, and athletics facilities
Oversee and plan future campaigns
Provide leadership and direction to a team of fundraisers and alumni relations professionals
Create a compelling case for support and tailored engagement strategies
Identify, cultivate, and secure major individual support

Qualification

Major gift fundraisingLeadership in advancementFundraising campaign executionAlumni relations managementCommunication skillsRelationship-building skills

Required

Collaborative, forward-thinking, and goal-oriented advancement leader
Robust track record as a major/principal gift fundraiser
Manager of a sophisticated advancement operation
Substantial leadership and management acumen
Successfully led or had a major leadership role in development or advancement programs for at least 8 years
Superior communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to provide leadership and direction
Mentor-motivate a team to maximize TWU's position with current supporters and in new markets
Create a compelling case for support and tailored engagement strategies
Identify, cultivate, and secure major individual (including alumni) support
Advance understanding and support of TWU among key internal and external audiences
Work with the leadership team to close out the current fundraising campaign

Preferred

Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful communications and fundraising campaigns
Experience in leading a team of skilled fundraisers and alumni relations professionals
