The State of Connecticut's Department of Transportation is seeking a Rail Operations Seasonal Worker to gain experience in mechanical engineering within the Office of Rail. The role involves working on capital projects related to rail car and locomotive procurement, as well as receiving mentorship and exposure to various career possibilities in rail transportation.

Responsibilities
Gain experience in the Office of Rail’s Mechanical/Capital Equipment Section which is accountable for the administration of large and small capital projects
Develop and implement capital rail car and locomotive procurement programs
Overhaul programs, and major and minor rolling stock upgrade programs
Qualification
Required
Mechanical Engineering student, graduate, or possess experience in Mechanical Engineering
Selected candidates must be at least 16 or 18 years old, depending on the position
