Business Data Analyst

Responsibilities
Prototype, develop, iterate, test, and deploy PALs (Prioritized Action Lists)
Understand the dealer systems and business processes used to deploy the PALs
Support the One Funnel Dealers in implementing actions to drive growth and efficiency across the dealership
Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time
Qualification
Required
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
Business Data Analysis: Knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements
Business Assessment: Knowledge of the activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities; ability to assess the benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project
Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production
Preferred
University Degree or relevant experience in similar position
Fields of study include computer science, business, mathematics, economics, statistics, engineering or in a related field
Experience using SQL to query and transform data to solve complex business problems
Experience working with Cat Digital Product datasets in Snowflake (such as STU, OLGA, PSE, DNA, LENS, Vision Link, eCommerce, Cat Central, etc)
Strong attention to detail in order to spot inaccuracies in coding or data
Easily understand business processes - and cause and effect on datasets within the process
Confidence and initiative to create innovative solutions to solve business problems
Solid practical experience delivering production ready solutions
Working knowledge of one or more programming languages
Self-starter and driven while working well in team environment
