Vertical Account Executive - Government & Education, Spectrum Business
Spectrum is seeking a Vertical Account Executive for Government & Education to acquire new clients by showcasing innovative technology solutions. The role involves building relationships, conducting needs analyses, and achieving revenue quotas through effective sales strategies in the government and education sectors.

Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new opportunities with small to medium government and education clients for fiber and coax solutions
Learn and navigate procurement processes unique to government and education, adapting your sales approach accordingly
Conduct consultative needs analyses and design client-centric product solutions
Achieve monthly revenue quotas in fiber, coax, cloud, and video sales
Generate leads through calls, premise visits, networking, and industry events
Qualify leads, request site surveys, and submit ROI analyses to sales management
Develop and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients
Maintain accurate sales activity records in Salesforce and ensure seamless handoff to account management teams
Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Sales Support, and Marketing to deliver comprehensive solutions and attend required sales meetings and training sessions
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree required (GED)
Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience
Read, write, speak and understand English
Capacity to travel to assigned territories and company facilities
Valid and active state driver's license with a safe driving record
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
3+ years of sales experience with a proven record of exceeding revenue quotas
3+ years of outside telecommunications sales, preferably business-to-business in data, voice, and/or video solutions
2+ years of experience selling data, voice, cloud, and/or video solutions
Experience within state/local government and/or education sectors
Aptitude for learning Spectrum's product suite
Motivation to balance base salary and commission earnings
Industry knowledge and a proactive, adaptable attitude
Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Networking and negotiation skills
Effective multitasking and time management under deadlines
Quick learner with a collaborative mindset, coachable and open to feedback
Positive attitude, inner drive, entrepreneurial spirit and ability to manage and foster change
