The Boiler Operator, Stationary Engineer will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the central plant, ensuring safe and efficient operations while managing a diversified workforce.

Responsibilities

Operation and maintenance of central plant, including steam generation and distribution, emergency generator operation, and associated auxiliary equipment (pumps, motor, pressure vessels, etc.)

Ensures the safe and efficient operations of the power plant

Manages a diversified work force that performs operation and maintenance of the central Plant, including steam generation and distribution, emergency generator operation, and associated auxiliary equipment (pumps, motor, pressure vessels, etc.)

Demonstrates compliance with all elements of the CH Corporate Corporate Compliance Program

Demonstrates the ability to lead and adapt to change effectively responding to changing needs, conditions, and/or priorities

Seeks out and initiates solutions to problems. Identifies issues of importance and develops relevant policies, programs, and proposals for potential implementation

Sets priorities, plans and coordinates work activities for the department in alignment with mission, vision and values

Executes hospital strategic plan through department specific goals and objectives that are measurable

Manages time resources effectively while managing multiple priorities; completes and submits all projects as directed and in a timely manner

Appropriates staffing and scheduling on budgeted FTE's

Maintain position control; participates in recruitment and retention initiatives

Knowledgeable of Central Plant and can perform functions of Stationary Engineer

Ability to independently plan work assignments and effectively works with others as needed

Performs Preventive maintenance

Performs Corrective Maintenance
