The YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking a full-time fitness leader who balances energy and acumen with great people skills. The Program Director of Health and Wellness will manage the wellness offerings, ensuring that programs and staff meet the needs of members and the community while working closely with the Executive Director to develop strategies for revenue growth and member engagement.

Responsibilities

Direct and supervise program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives. This includes creating, implementing and scheduling health and wellness programs and classes, as well as teaching classes as needed

Hire, train, develop, motivate, and direct personnel and volunteers

Establish new program activities and expand programs within the community

Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations

Assist in the marketing and distribution of program information

Assist in program budget development and controls

Assists in YMCA fundraising activities and special events

Model relationship-building skills in all interactions

Assist with Branch Council meetings

Compile program statistics. Monitor and evaluate the participation and effectiveness of programs

Required

Minimum age requirements of 21

Bachelor's degree in the field of exercise science or related

Minimum 2-years of experience in H&F, staff supervision and budget responsibilities

Current certifications to teach group exercise classes and personal training

CPR/First Aid and BBP will be required within 30 days of hire and will need to be maintained

Ability to work with a wide range of age groups, demographics and have ability to collaborate well with groups and individuals

Strong people skills to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community

Ability and desire to embrace the mission of the YMCA

Lead by example in mission-driven customer service and the implementation of lifestyle choices

Technical equipment knowledge and demonstrated competency in program delivery and leadership

Excellent written and verbal skills
