The role involves supporting litigation attorneys, crafting legal documents, engaging with clients, and ensuring effective collaboration while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Supports multiple attorneys in litigation legal support teams in the preparation of client legal documents

Plans, produces, edits and formats correspondence, memoranda, pleadings, reports and other legal documents in a timely manner while utilizing computer, transcription equipment and other office equipment

Electronically files pleadings and related exhibits in State, Federal and Appellate courts

Establishes and maintains calendar and deadline reminder systems, utilizing Firm’s centralized docketing and calendar system

Manages attorney calendars, schedules appointments and coordinates travel arrangements

Collaborates with administrative support staff (document production, receptionists, business office, etc.), to include processing client billing and proofing documents returned from document production

Required

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required

At least five (5) years of litigation or related legal experience required

Ability to work with legal documents and familiarity with State, Federal, and Appellate filings, including knowledge of, or ability to learn, E-Filing

Preferred

An Associate Degree is preferred

Prior bankruptcy experience, including familiarity with bankruptcy pleadings, filing requirements, and court procedures, is strongly preferred
