They are seeking a Corrosion Technician-CP-2 to perform advanced field testing of corrosion control systems, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineering teams to design effective solutions.

Responsibilities

Work independently, make field decisions without direct supervision and be responsible for obtaining field data to determine condition of structures under evaluation

Compile and submit field data for senior staff review

Be familiar with standard survey and construction practices for corrosion control projects

Estimate duration for both engineering and construction projects

Organize and perform multiple small to medium sized projects simultaneously

Develop test procedures for complex troubleshooting

Evaluate field data and prepare draft reports for the area supervisor

Perform field design testing for cathodic protection solutions

Work with engineering to design cathodic protection systems

Required

Have a current certification with AMPP (formerly NACE International) as a Cathodic Protection Technician CP-2 Certification

3-5 years (minimum) experience in corrosion control industry particularly related to cathodic protection work

Government contracts require U.S. Citizenship

Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently as well as interact with team members, clients and management staff

Ability/willingness to travel as required for the job

Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle

This position may require significant time standing or walking on uneven ground, possible climbing of ladders or being in high places, working in tight spaces, lifting up to 60 pounds, and, in general, being overall physically demanding. It may also require work in an all-weather environment
