Responsibilities

Details required material/components using AutoCAD or other method. Prepares layouts according to specifications

Interacts with customers to review plans to determine scope and other requirements of the job

Back-logs reconciliation pertaining to finished material/components and ordered amounts

Reviews drawings and supporting documentation to verify adherence to standard practices. Copies, prints, and distributes finished detail plans to customers

Assists with maintaining and updating project status in the project management system of record

Performs other duties as assigned

Required

May modify processes to resolve situations

Under limited supervision, relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine the best approach to achieve desired outcomes

Work typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor or direct customers of the process

Is sought out and/or assigned to provide general guidance/direction, training, and technical assistance to junior level support personnel

Contributes to employees' professional development but does not have hiring/firing authority

Typically located in a comfortable indoor area

There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors, such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights

Most of the time is spent sitting or standing in the same location and/or there may be a need to stoop regularly or move/lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds)

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time

Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas

Generally 5-7 years of experience in a related area of responsibility

Preferred

Certificate of completion in drafting, industrial drawing or construction from a college or technical school

Work experience in construction, manufacturing fabrication or drafting

Engineering background preferred

MasterCam experience will be highly favored
