Responsibilities
Understands all aspects of vascular disease and performs different types of noninvasive vascular testing with accuracy and analytical skills, in accordance with BHSF and IAC standards
Is responsible for the operation of the laboratory equipment
Performing and communicating results of all types of noninvasive vascular testing to other healthcare providers
Should maintain a high standard of medical ethics at all times
Should be self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of vascular diseases as well as new procedures and applications as they evolve
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training or experience
Basic Life Support
CCI Registered Vascular Sonographer
ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist
Must acquire within 1 year of employment: ARDMS - Registered Vascular Technologist or CCI - Registered Vascular Sonographer
Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association
Preferred
Graduate from an accredited allied health program, preferably with separate track on cardiovascular ultrasonography
