Responsibilities
Payroll Strategy & Compliance: Lead payroll operations strategy, ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations, and oversee internal/external audits
Systems & Process Optimization: Manage and enhance ADP HRMS and Kronos systems, develop payroll/HRIS policies, and drive workflow and process improvements
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage payroll staff while establishing performance standards, development plans, and departmental goals
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and site leaders to align payroll practices, resolve issues, and support organizational initiatives
Vendor & Regulatory Coordination: Oversee vendor relationships, manage agency interactions (DOL, unemployment, disability, workers’ comp), and resolve payroll-related banking issues
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field required
7-10 years of progressive payroll operations leadership in a large, automated, multi-site environment
Advanced expertise in ADP HRMS and Kronos Scheduling/Time Entry
Strong knowledge of payroll's impact on the general ledger and financial reporting
Comprehensive knowledge of Federal and State payroll regulations, reporting requirements, and compliance frameworks
Strong communicator and collaborative leader with excellent interpersonal skills
Strong organization and a commitment to accuracy and process improvement
Preferred
Healthcare experience strongly preferred
