The Mechanical Calibration Technician is responsible for performing accurate equipment calibrations and ensuring all instruments are correctly calibrated while supporting team efforts and customer service.

Responsibilities

Completes calibrations in a safe, timely, and accurate manner, following Essco and customer specific templates and procedures

Responsible for proper handling and maintenance of Essco and customer equipment

Identify required supplies, tools, and equipment for calibration projects and communicate these needs to the appropriate personnel to ensure timely availability

It is expected that 90-95% of work time will be utilized by completing calibrations

Develop understanding of Test Accuracy Ratio (TAR), Test Uncertainty Ratio (TUR), traceability, uncertainty, and error concepts

Learn to properly use the Calibration Management System (CMS)

Analyze and interpret calibration test data

Understand and document calibration certificates following Essco requirements

Review and interpret technical literature and work orders
