Rand Technology is seeking a Supplier Development Manager to develop strategic supplier relationships and provide critical insights to Sales and Sourcing. The role involves engaging with suppliers, gathering market intelligence, and identifying proactive sales opportunities to drive growth.

Responsibilities

Establish and nurture relationships with strategic suppliers, including franchise distributors

Drive collaboration and negotiate with key suppliers to gain access to industry and product insights

Gather and share detailed information on parts availability, costs, and market pricing to Sales, Sourcing, and other stakeholders

Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned parts and manufacturers globally

Gain access to competitive / favorable parts availability and pricing then provide Sales with proactive opportunities (daily / weekly) and support execution of the deals

Offer guidance on customer pricing strategies

Drive continuous sales growth Q/Q for key suppliers

Contribute to the preparation of weekly and monthly market reports for assigned products and manufacturers

Monitor industry developments to inform internal decision-making

Collaborate with Sales and Sourcing teams to optimize deals, advising on purchase and sale pricing

Act as a key advisor on market dynamics and supplier opportunities in coordination with Global Commodity Management, Sourcing Management, and Sales

Support Purchasing through guidance and coordination with Purchasing team members and may place PO’s from time to time on key deals and/or as needed based on team capacity

Required

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electronic components industry

Proven expertise and relationships with suppliers and franchise distributors

In-depth knowledge of parts and manufacturers, including but not limited to Texas Instruments (TI), Analog Devices Inc. (ADI), On Semi, ST Microelectronics, Broadcom (BCM), and other board level IC's and semiconductors

Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to synthesize market information into actionable strategies, market reports, and internal training materials

Proficiency in Mandarin and English is required to support effective communication in a global context

Based in Singapore or the Shenzhen or Shanghai area of China
