Project Manager - Architect
Design Draw Build, Inc. is a growing architect-led design-build firm based in Oakland, seeking a resourceful and ambitious architect to join their team. The Project Manager - Architect will manage complete architectural projects, oversee teams, and ensure project deliverables are met while fostering a creative design dialogue.

Responsibilities
Management of complete architectural projects, including document control, client interaction, and construction administration
Ensure project deliverables are submitted on time to the client, and timeline is met
Oversee teams of in-house staff, consultants, and vendors to complete projects
Skillfully design and draft architectural documents needed for every phase of a project, from Feasibility and Schematic Design through Construction Administration
Feasibility research and code reviews for architectural and construction projects
Facilitation of permits and other municipal approvals with multiple jurisdictions
Forward thinking, proactively identifying and resolving design details
Interface and coordinating with consultants throughout the project (Structural, T24, MEP, Surveyor, Civil, Geotech)
Coordinating drawings and specifications, plan check comments w/ Consultants
Development of project presentation materials with the support of design staff, including finished project renderings and diagrams
Coordination with construction managers and site staff to facilitate construction processes
Supporting the Principal in supervision of design staff
Lead the design team of 8-10 designers, junior architects, and job captains
Managing oversight of in-house standards and quality control processes to improve level of project documentation
Oversee administrative and technical aspects to ensure efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects through all phases
Strong focus on the development of construction details
Qualification
Required
4 - 8 years of experience in an architecture firm
BArch or MArch Required, from an accredited program
Proficiency in Revit, Autocad,& Adobe Creative Suite
Active listening skills, manage & implement feedback, present ideas and design concepts effectively
Technical skills with an eye for detail for design
Driver's license and clean driving record required
Excellent administrative skills, organized, detail-oriented, file management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Ability to collaborate with team members and be a team player
Fun, positive attitude, and pleasant to work with
Self-motivated, with strong work ethic and desire growth
Preferred
3 years experience as a Project Manager preferred
Home-building, construction or design-build related experience preferred
Licensure, not required - but progress to licensure preferred
