The Fountain Group is seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of electrical systems for advanced consumer products. This role is highly visible, hands-on, and influential—driving innovation across next-generation hardware platforms.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end PCBA design, testing, troubleshooting, and validation
Develop system-level electrical architecture aligned with product goals
Perform component and system trade-off analysis for performance, cost, and manufacturability
Drive DFM, DFT, DFMEA, and root-cause analysis activities
Support electrical and regulatory compliance (UL, FCC, EMI, CSA, etc.)
Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, firmware, and product teams
Establish performance requirements through modeling, testing, and analysis
Ensure milestone delivery on schedule and within budget

Required

BE + 10 years OR MS + 8 years in Electrical Engineering
Strong background in MCU-based PCBA design
Experience with connectivity (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/Cellular), UI (LED/OLED/LCD/touch), and sensing technologies
Circuit simulation, prototyping, and reliability design experience
Familiarity with UL/FCC regulatory standards
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

Embedded programming experience a plus
