Responsibilities
Manage multiple, simultaneous projects across all stages—from concept design to construction completion
Guide project teams to ensure timely, on-budget delivery with an emphasis on high technical quality
Participate in and review construction documents, drawings, reports, submittals, and proposals to maintain quality and consistency
Ensure all design components align with project specifications
Conduct and coordinate field measurements, data collection, and site inspections
Ensure accurate reporting and documentation
Attend design coordination meetings with clients and team members, foster strong client relationships, and actively participate in peer reviews to enhance quality and mitigate risk
Prepare monthly projections, track project milestones, and assist with billing and invoicing
Mentor junior engineers and team members, sharing technical expertise and supporting their professional growth
Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development teams on RFQs, interviews, and presentations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
10 plus years of experience in the industry, preferably within a consulting engineering firm
Professional Engineer (PE) license, with eligibility for licensure in NC, SC, and VA
In-depth knowledge of power, lighting, data, security, and fire alarm distribution systems
Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., Visual, SKM) and construction document software
Preferred
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
Background in building and/or industrial/manufacturing facilities is highly desirable
