Responsibilities

Develops, implements and communicates new/updated standards, specifications and guidelines to key stakeholders

Leads teams to gather requirements, establish cross-functional processes and ensure proper implementation of various initiatives

Researches and evaluates new materials, products and applications

Provides administrative and technical support in areas including root cause analysis of equipment failure and reliability reporting

Provides support for the Line Clearance Review Program

Participates in engineering standard organizations and other industry-specific organizations

Provides legal and regulatory support as needed

Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements

Required

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering is required

At least four (4) years of relevant engineering experience is required for Staff Engineer

At least six (6) years of relevant engineering experience is required for Senior Engineer

High level of knowledge in at least one applicable subject matter for Staff Engineer

High level of knowledge in multiple applicable subject matters for Senior Engineer

Ability to work independently and on a team

Must be flexible, have organizational skills, and multi-task skills to handle diverse types of work

Must effectively work across disciplines and functions to achieve common goals and company business purposes

Capable of working with people of diverse backgrounds

Excellent communication and team-building skills for effective relationships with internal and external customers

Ability to effectively communicate complex subject matter and company issues to vendors and Oncor employees

Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Preferred

Applicants with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering are encouraged to apply
